Ladies, I know you love shopping, but I got one on you! We just got back from a furniture market show in South Carolina that covered millions of square feet. It was like shopping in 20 Wal-Marts combined! And boy do we have some goodies comin'. We bought accent rugs, pictures, modern lamps, house decor, and YES, the oft requested Bed-in-a-Bag. So keep your eyes peeled, and don't forget to stop in to the Saving Station in between your barbecue.
I've had a lot of customers say to me lately, "I remember when...". This statement is often followed by the discussion of how prices used to be. Perhaps you remember a grandparent saying "I remember when you could buy a loaf of bread for ten cents." In fact, I can remember when we first opened some fifteen years ago, everyone was excited that summer when gas hit a low of $1.35. Things do change, and unfortunately, so does the furniture market. Lately, someone expressed concern that we no longer carry used beds. As the economy & life changes, so does the furniture market. And even at the Saving Station, we must adapt to that. In the past few months, we have had to make the decision to permanently stop selling used beds. For some budgets, this comes as a setback, but this is to protect our loyal customers from the onslaught of the bed bug infestation in the U.S. However, we are committed to staying the most competitive and reasonably priced furniture store in Toledo. Even through these tough times of change. No, it's not like it used to be, and we all can remember 'when'. Especially when I drove by the gas station today and saw fuel at $3.79 per gallon. The "remember when" memories are precious, and sometimes bitter-sweet, but always remember this, no matter how high the economy drives things, theres a shop over in East Toledo dedicated to keeping furniture as low as possible.
